Where is my clipboard history stored?

Your clipboard history is stored locally on your Mac. TakeCtrl does not use user accounts, analytics, or server-side clipboard storage.

Does TakeCtrl upload my copied content?

No. TakeCtrl does not upload your clipboard history, screenshots, copied text, images, files, code, or colors to our servers. Your history stays on your device.

Can TakeCtrl detect sensitive content?

Yes. TakeCtrl attempts to detect sensitive content such as passwords, API keys, private keys, tokens, credit card numbers, and .env files. By default, sensitive content is not saved.
